We all want beautiful shiny hair that looks like from we just stepped off a commercial set. Some people are born with it and maintain it that way. Others, like me, for instance, are born with beautiful shiny hair, but through the years I’ve noticed it’s gotten thinner and more dull because I liked to experiment with colors and hair-do’s.

I believe there is a remedy for someone like us as well, and a really good, natural and healthy way is to use oil as it contains all the nutritional and revitalizing components that your hair loves – vitamin E, vitamin A, vitamin K, omega-3, linoleic acid… the list goes on and on. What I love the most is there aren’t any chemicals!

7 Oils For Your Healthy Hair

Olive oilnaturally conditions your hair, adds extra softness and shine, fights off dandruff;

Coconut oil (Have you seen Indian ladies’ hair? They use this oil a lot!) – a great moisturizer, it stimulates hair growth, prevents split ends;

Almond oil – great for hair growth, helps make your hair shine;

Castor oil – helps to fight dandruff;

Argan oil – helps to heal dull lifeless hair;

Jojoba Oil – revitalizes dry hair, strengthens and heals dull and damaged hair;

Burdock Oil (popular in Russia and Europe) – helps to boost hair growth, combats hair loss, improves hair strength.

How To Use It:

  • Use a few drops only, unless you want your hair to look dirty, rub it over your palms and comb your fingers through your hair.
  • If you have dandruff you can use it on your scalp, massage it in, put on a shower cap, then wrap your head with a warm towel and leave it overnight. It’ll take a while to wash off the oil but it’s worth it.
  • Warm your oil up for better results (I’m not a big fan of microwaving, so I put it in a little bottle or a container and place it in a pot or a sink filled with hot water).
  • Add a drop of your favorite oil in a shampoo and conditioner for extra shine and silkiness.

Try these natural remedies and let me know what you think. Did it help your hair get shinier and more lustrous?
